Family Pictures

We had some family pictures taken and a bunch of singles of Logan, because he really is much cuter than we are. Here are a few.

Time To Settle In

Well, the time has come when Adam, Logan and I will no longer have to drive a Uhaul across multiple states, moving every eight months. We were offered a job here in Marquette and decided that's what we should do, so here we are and here we will stay for at least a few years. We are feeling more comfortable with the area (just in time for a snowy winter) and the ward members are great. So, here are a few recent pics, including Halloween, and fun videos of Logan for all to enjoy. We had our FIRST family pictures taken, if you don't include the cartoon street drawing we had done last Christmas, so I'll have some of those up soon, too.

A rare shot of Logan and his mom.

At the zoo with Grandma. Check out Logan's face in reaction to that little chick. Priceless.

Logan was pointing something out, but all I could think was how cute this dumbo costume was.

The ward Halloween party. I looked just like Adam-we were going for the last minute, throw your costume together and try to look like a pumpkin costume, but we ended up being creepy. One kid thought we were the scary clowns from the movie Dumbo, that are mean to him, and actually hit Adam in the stomouch before running away. Hmmmmm...we'll have to plan ahead next year.:)

Here's our cute little boy trying on my jacket. The next really quick video, we like to call "attack of the killer baby."

After a long day of activites and events, Adam and I thought it would be a good idea to sit down and ask Logan how he felt his day went and for his thoughts and feelings. He was more than willing to share.

Tender Mercies

That phrase may be used as a bit of a clique these days, but tender mercies are exactly what we were blessed with on our trip to Utah. We flew out on a Wednesday, went to the funeral Thursday and saw family and flew back Friday morning. Both trips had two legs and a layover of over 3 hours each in the airport, but we were truly blessed and all went better than I could have expected!

Here's most of the Butler Clan.

Poor kid didn't get much sleep, so he's catching a few ZZZZ's during transit.

I love these Halloween PJs.

My brother, Sam, got his mission call the day we were all there in Utah and opened it with a whole lot of his posterity there. He was called to the Toulouse, France mission. We love you, SAM!

No More Lobster

Well, I'm sure everyone is tired of seeing a lobster on the blog, that is if anyone is still visiting us....sorry it's been so long! We've been having trouble with our camera, but we seem to have gotten it working now. We've been pretty busy lately, too. My parents came up to visit, we traveled to Naperville before going to Green Bay for Stake Conference and Logan and I are leaving for Utah tomorrow for my Grandmother's funeral. Here are some pics of our latest events.

My parents got me 25 presents for my 25th birthday....lots of fun crafty things that will come in very handy with my calling in primary.

Here's the crew on a walk at Presque Ilse....Me & Logan, Suz, Kim, Mom and Adam...Dad's taking the pic.

Nice shot of a lighthouse just off Presque Isle in Lake Superior.

Tell me this doesn't look like a poporazi shot of some celebrity!?!

A rare shot of the three of us together.:)

Logan is forever interested in what is going on with the microwave...this really is a classic shot.

hmmm, this is darker than what I thought. I guess you can always click on it to make it bigger if you really want to see it better. We are taking a walk on a trail behind our apartment.

Logan with his walking stick, a toy he loves more than anything you could ever purchase at the store.

Trying New Things

Well, we celebrated my bday this past weekend and went to Red Lobster for dinner. It was SO GOOD! I had never had crab or Maine lobster before and had a fun time cracking things open and digging things out....the whole experience was enjoyable. So, I also went to a knitting club that the Relief Society holds every week as an enrichment activity. I have never knitted before, but I went to socialize and try to make some friends. Anywho, I ended up learning how to knit and now I'm making a scarf! Who knew?!?! I got myself a library card and I'm loosing the weight I want with Weight Watchers, which is awesome. Anyway, I'm starting out my 25th year with optimism and I'm grateful for Adam and Logan for making every day so joyful!

A Walk Down Memory Lane.....

I really enjoy this tag

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. I will revisit your blog and leave a memory as well!! Happy Memory making!!

Picnics

I think picnics are too under appreciated. A simple outing may be all you need to lift your day and create a sense of sanity once again in your sometimes troubled mind. So, when Adam got off work, that's just what we did. With only one car and nothing close by to walk to, Logan needed to run around and I needed room to breath, so off we went with a picnic to a beautiful park with open fields of grass and a large playground....it even had a fountain! Anywho, here are some pics from our afterwork outing...and how about a video-havn't done that for a while.:)

Adam and Logan checking out the Sea Gulls that were basically stalking us while we were eating.

A more appropriate shirt for Adam was never made.

We were just checking to see if there really was a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Nope.

We finally got a family photo!!!!

So, I really dislike these swings because I feel like Logan could just slip or flip right out at any moment...notice how close I am the whole time. Anyway, I love how he is trying to pump himself along.

Summer Vacation

We've had a busy past few weeks and are getting back to the day to day, so I thought a post would be in order. We had a couple of weeks of traveling. They included a family reunion at Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina, a trip to Mackinaw Island with Adam's brother Pete and his family, the 4th of July and a drive to Naperville to visit with the folks. We enjoyed good food, great company and fun times. So, get ready for a whole lot of pics from our adventures!

That's the sunrise at IOB and my uncle looking for shells in the sand.
The cousins all went out for dinner at a place similiar to Beni Hanas and here are all the siblings with their spouses.

Sam and Logan had matching outfits! Here's the shrimp boat Adam and Sam kayaked behind and saw about eight dolphins swimming and jumping all around.
Sparklers on our back padio on the 4th of July. Party Animals!

The Mackinaw Bridge is five miles long and over a Great Lake. It's absolutely beautiful. Logan decided to pull out all the tissues before we could stop him, and he was having so much fun, we stuffed them back in so he could do it again.

Here's Pete, Tori, Jayda, Kyson and Tayri on the ferry ride over and these three bachelors, Sargent, Major and Travis, were our tour guides around the island!
